Detailed 5 Days Uganda Safari Holiday
Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Your 5 days Uganda safari adventure starts with your guide picking you up in the morning from your hotel in either Kampala or Entebbe. From there, you’ll hit the road heading west toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through Fort Portal along the way.
The drive will take about 8 hours, giving you a chance to see Uganda’s beautiful countryside, with its small towns, villages, busy roadside markets, and green landscapes.
You’ll stop in Fort Portal for lunch before continuing your journey, you will arrive at the park just in time for an evening game drive, where you’ll get the chance to spot elephants, hippos, and buffaloes among others. Afterward, you’ll check in at your lodge and relax after a day full of excitement.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head out for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park. The park is full of amazing landscapes like grassy plains, forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and even volcanic craters all home to lots of wildlife.
With the stunning Rwenzori Mountains in the background, you’ll have a great chance to spot lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, topis, and bushbucks.
After lunch, you’ll go on a boat trip along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward, this part has the highest numbers of hippos in Africa, you will also see lots of animals coming to the water to drink.
The boat trip is perfect for taking photos, bird watching, and spotting even more wildlife. With over 600 bird species in this park, the birdlife is colorful, exciting, and something you won’t want to miss.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, you’ll leave Queen Elizabeth and head to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The drive takes about 6 hours and goes through the Kigezi Highlands.
During this 5 days Uganda Safari Holiday, you’ll travel along winding roads and pass by terraced hills on your way to the Bwindi forest. You’ll also stop in Kabale to enjoy some lunch before continuing your journey, after reaching bwindi you will check in to your lodge where you will have dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, your safari driver will help you pack your lunch boxes and then take you to the park headquarters for a short briefing. Here, you’ll meet other travelers and listen to the park warden or head ranger explaining the rules for gorilla trekking. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family to visit, and you’ll head into the forest in a group of eight people.
The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 8 hours, depending on where the gorillas are and how rough the ground is. Once you find the gorillas, you’ll get to spend a full hour with them, watching and taking photos. After the one hour is up, you’ll hike back to the park offices where you’ll be given a certificate for completing your gorilla trekking activity.
In the evening, you can relax back at the lodge or take a community walk to enjoy some traditional dancing performed by the Batwa people.

Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, we’ll begin our drive back to Kampala or Entebbe. On the way, we’ll stop at the Equator in Kayabwe, where you can take some fun photos and shop for crafts and souvenirs. After that, we’ll continue the journey and drop you off at your hotel or at Entebbe International Airport for your flight and that will be the end of the 5 days Uganda safari holiday.
